This is the very first SKS to hit our shores with a thumbhole stock. The stock is unique to this rifle.

Three different rifles were imported with thumbhole stocks. The other two are the NR and the Sporter. The next three pics show all three side by side. Note the pistol grip and rear sling attachment.

The next two pics show the front grip area.

The front sight on a 63 is milled open as if imitate other military rifles. This is one of two SKS rifles imported with this style of front sight. The Poly Tech Hunter being the other. Note the chromed barrel.
Picture
A close up of the milled bayonet lug. Note the beveled edges. These rifles come with a 17 cleaning rod. Smart SKS owners will realize the bayonet holds the cleaning rod in place. Without it it will just fall out. Some will zip tie it to the barrel. Some will remove the stock and put rubber o-rings on the rod behind the stock ferrule. Most just leave it in the box.

Some of these rifles have been seen in a Monte Carlo stock. I believe the stock was changed. You ether love or hate the thumbhole stock . Some of these owners hate it so much they search for a MC stock. The inletting is the same and it will drop right in with no mods.

All these rifles hit are shores in 1988. Only one importer has been seen.
