NR
receivers are stamped nr
This is not an m
As collectors we don't always know what that stamp on the side of my rifle means. In this case we know what the NR on the side of this rifle means. Thumbhole stock (yeah I know that doesn't make sense). Two different stocks were used on the NR. The same stock as used on the 63 with a flat fore grip and the stock illustrated here with a military style front grip. The pistol grip is angled farther back and is more comfortable to shoot. This stock like the 63 stock has no black cutout on the pistol grip.
Go to the 63 section and see all thumbhole stocks side by side.
Here is were the NR stock becomes unique. After serial number 94-505XX Note the front grip area. It has the same front grip as a military style stock. It is a combination of old and new. This is the only stock seen so far on the 93 from B-West.
Like the Sporter and the M. All new production. Note the identical mag well liner............
............and AK mag release attached to a stamper trigger group and a 16.5 inch pinned barrel.
None of the NR's have a stripper clip groove. Note the 3 on the sight ladder.
China Sports Incorporated is the only importer. They were imported in 93 and 94.
